Bonnie J. Stanich

 

 

 

Bonnie J Stanich, RN, C  has an active Florida license as a Registered Nurse. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Education Foundations. Bonnie has taken the Parish Nurse course offered by Florida Hospital based on the International Parish Nurse Curriculum. She has also passed the Certification Exam for  Nursing Continuing Education and Staff Development.

Bonnie recently retired from Florida Hospital's Education & Research Department where she helped coordinate programs across all discipline lines and all campuses. She still does Special Projects upon request and availability.

Health Ministry Team

 

The Health Ministry Team are volunteers, who advise and assist the Parish Nurse as needed. This requires about one or two meetings per year.

 

Nurse Visits

 

The Parish Nurse is available to make Home, Hospital or Rehab/Nursing Home visits. These visits are to assist with referrals, explanations, teaching, or reassurance and comfort. The Parish Nurse is not to take the place of other services available like Home Health or Pastoral Care of the clergy.

 

Office Consultations

 

The Parish Nurse is available in the Kimsey Hall Parish House at posted times. The Parish Nurse can assist with referrals, explanations, teaching, or reassurance and comfort. In order to be sure of a time, it is best to make an appointment.

 

Church Environment

 

The Parish Nurse will assist with the maintenance and update of First Aid and Emergency equipment on the St. Alban's campus. In addition, the Parish Nurse will be available to consult about environmental health issues.

 

Educational Offerings

 

The Parish Nurse will arrange for educational programs based on the collection of information form a variety of sources. These programs will be geared to the congregation of St. Alban's and will include programs for a variety of ages.

 

Community Programs

 

The Parish Nurse will arrange for a variety or programs that can be open to the general public. Such programs include Blood Mobiles, CPR, Health Fairs and similar health-related programs.
